Tara Iyer trained in Carnatic vocal from age six and discovered Erykah Badu at fourteen. Her music has been trying to reconcile those two universes ever since.
She has lent her voice to three Hindi films and one Tamil indie hit, but her solo work — releasing exclusively through Verrsa Vibe — is where she feels most herself.
Her debut album is in production now. Expect strings, silence, and a voice that does most of the talking.
